Tell President Obama to keep his promises.  In Prague in April 2009, he promised U.S. leadership in working towards a world without nuclear weapons. In Hiroshima in May 2016, he said: “Among those nations like my own that hold nuclear stockpiles, we must have the courage to escape the logic of fear and pursue a world without them.” Instead – he has chosen the path of fear, and is proposing plans to modernize the U.S. nuclear weapons arsenal with $1T USD over the next 30 years. Tell him to END these plans and to pursue a world without nuclear weapons.

Featured Campaign: Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki

We must rid the world of nuclear weapons. As we approach the days to memorialize the U.S. nuclear attacks against Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we are reminded of the consequences of nuclear weapons and the need to listen to the hibakusha – the survivors of the attacks. They plead with world leaders to get rid of nuclear weapons, so the devastation of those attacks will never be repeated – and we join them in their calls for immediate action.
